These legendary baseball cards all share one remarkable thing in common: only one copy has ever been graded PSA Gem Mint 10. That’s the ultimate combination of history, scarcity, and condition rarity.

Another thing they have in common? That single PSA 10 is worth hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars.

When a card has a single PSA 10 in the entire population report, it isn’t just rare – it’s a one-of-a-kind benchmark for the hobby.

That makes these pieces some of the most closely watched and coveted cards in all of vintage baseball.

10 Great Cards That Have Achieved A PSA 10 Grade Just Once

*Correct as of February 2026.

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #181

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #181

The 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #181 is one of four Ruth cards in the legendary Goudey set and one of the most iconic pre-war issues in the hobby.

It captures Ruth during the height of his popularity, when baseball cards were just beginning their golden age.

Despite all being graded over a thousand times by PSA, his other three cards in the set have no PSA 10s on record, but his last card in the release (#181) has a sole Gem Mint copy.

Even one of the rare PSA 9s has sold for over a million, with a $1,272,000 in 2021, so if the grade 10 were ever offered publicly, it would almost certainly land among the most expensive baseball cards ever sold.

1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig #92

1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig #92

The 1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig comes from the same iconic set that re-established baseball cards during the Great Depression.

It shows Gehrig around the peak of his Hall of Fame career, alongside Babe Ruth in the same legendary checklist.

Like Ruth, Gehrig appears in the set multiple times, with two cards (although the front is practically identical). The later card doesn’t have a PSA 10 yet, but this #92 has one.

The lone PSA 10 copy actually sold at auction way back in 2007 for $274,950, a huge number for the time, but with the way elite vintage card values have skyrocketed since then, it would likely sell for 10x that today.

1933 Sport Kings Ty Cobb #1

1933 Sport Kings Ty Cobb #1

The 1933 Sport Kings Ty Cobb is part of a unique multi-sport set that featured legends from baseball, boxing, golf, and more. Cobb’s card stands out as one of the most collected in the entire release.

The age, thinner stock and uneven cuts of cards from the set make them tough to find in top condition; As a result, only one copy of Cobb’s card has ever reached PSA Gem Mint 10.

Even PSA 9s are extremely scarce, with only a few in existence – one of those sold for $132,000 in 2020.

1948 Bowman Yogi Berra #6

1948 Bowman Yogi Berra #6

Ten World Series wins as a player and three as a coach for Yogi Berra – no one holds more World Series rings as a player.

His 1948 Bowman card is one of the earliest cards of the Yankees legend, released just as his Hall of Fame career was beginning. It’s widely considered Berra’s true rookie card.

Like most Bowman cards from the late 1940s, it was printed on thin, easily damaged stock. Only one example has ever been graded PSA Gem Mint 10.

In 2017, the elusive PSA 10 copy sold for $192,000, likely well below what it would sell for today.

1948 Bowman Stan Musial #36

1948 Bowman Stan Musial #36

Another 1948 Bowman card, and this one is one of two recognized rookie cards of St. Louis Cardinals legend Stan Musial.

Aside from its age, the centering problems and thin card stock cause condition issues and high-grades are tough.

The PSA 10 last sold at auction in 2017 for $360,000 – considering the price on PSA 9s have risen by over 300% since then – it’s again likely significantly lower than what it would sell for in the hobby today.

1949 Bowman Satchel Paige #224

1949 Bowman Satchel Paige #224

One of the rookie cards of another Hall of Famer – The 1949 Bowman Satchel Paige. It represents one of only three mainstream Paige cards from his playing days.

Most 1949 Bowmans suffer the same condition obstacles, from the era, centering and corner wear. Only one example has managed to achieve a 10 with PSA.

Numerous grade 9s exist and one sold for $228,000 in 2022, so it would be interesting to see what the 10 would sell for if it ever goes to auction.

1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle #253

1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle #253

The 1952 Topps Mantle card takes the spotlight, but his 1951 Bowman represents his first ever card, and its significance shouldn’t be understated – it’s one of the greatest baseball cards of all time, and probably the most valuable on this list.

The card often suffers from print lines, wax stains along the reverse and poor centering, so it’s no surprise to see only one PSA 10 on record.

In 2022, one of the PSA 9s sold for $3,192,000 – If the 10 ever sells, it’ll challenge the most expensive baseball card ever.

1952 Topps Willie Mays #261

1952 Topps Willie Mays #261

The 1952 Topps Willie Mays is one of the cornerstone cards of one of the hobby’s most famous sets.

It represents Mays’ first Topps appearance, in the iconic 1952 Topps release that also includes the Mickey Mantle grail.

While his 1951 Bowman rookie card remains one of the most important baseball cards that have never received a grade 10, this 1952 does have one Gem Mint example.

Back in 2016, one of the handful of PSA 9s sold for $478,000, so the PSA 10 would no doubt be a 7-figure card if it ever goes up for sale.

1955 Topps Jackie Robinson #50

1955 Topps Jackie Robinson #50

The 1955 Topps Jackie Robinson is one of his most visually striking cards, featuring a horizontal design late in his playing career. It remains one of the most collected Robinson cards, from a set that’s still loved today.

Most examples suffer from centering problems and surface wear.

The lone 10 sold for $44,317.48 in 2007. While still extremely rare, there are a decent number of PSA 9s on record and even they sell for well above $44k today, so that 10 was a very good investment for whoever got it back in ‘07.

1956 Topps Roberto Clemente #33

1956 Topps Roberto Clemente #33

Ending with another ‘50s gem, the 1956 Topps Roberto Clemente is one of the key early cards of the Pirates legend. In fact it bears a close resemblance to his 1955 Topps rookie card.

Like many cards on this list, centering and print defects are common.

The single PSA 10 copy sold for $100,099 in 2017 and then again for $247,230 just two years later – The value has no doubt jumped even further since that last sale in 2019.
