Every collector dreams of coming across an old, stashed away box with some sports card gems inside.
That’s exactly what happened to a collector this week—in a post shared on Facebook, the collector revealed that he was asked by a client to take a look at an old childhood card collection, as they knew he collected.
What he discovered was pretty incredible—the images shared show a box full of raw sports cards from the 1960s, 70s, and 80s.

Front and center were piles of the iconic 1986 Fleer Basketball cards and stickers—including the coveted Michael Jordan rookie card and the Jordan sticker. A dream find for any basketball collector.

But the surprises didn’t stop there.
Mixed in were stacks of vintage baseball cards, including:
- Two 1968 Topps Nolan Ryan rookie cards
- Two 1968 Topps Johnny Bench rookie cards
- A 1970 Thurman Munson rookie

- Four 1980 Topps Rickey Henderson rookies
- A Carl Yastrzemski rookie
- A Robin Yount rookie

And a strong showing of stars like Willie Mays, Pete Rose, and others from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s—the box was a treasure chest.
Sometimes, the best finds are hidden away for decades, just waiting for someone to recognize their worth.
