Shohei Ohtani has a new record baseball card sale, with the latest record sale smashing the previous high.
His 1/1 Dynasty Black Logoman Autograph card from the 2024 Topps 50-50: Shohei Ohtani set finished at a final price of $1,067,500 (including buyer’s premium), via Heritage Auction, on Sunday.
The coveted card was the key piece from the special 50-50: Shohei Ohtani set, which was released in celebration of his historic 50-home / 50-steal season.
It’s a very desirable card, which includes a Logoman patch that was taken from the pants Ohtani was wearing when he hit his 50th home run, and became the first ever member of the 50/50 club, alongside his on-card signature.

Topps announced that the card had been pulled by a collector back in January. It’s since been graded by PSA, who graded it a Mint 9 (+ Auto 9), before being auctioned.
The sale sets a record for the most expensive Shohei Ohtani baseball card ever sold, and the first to sell for 7-figures. It doubles the previous high.
Prior to the sale, the record Ohtani sale was a copy of his 2018 Bowman Chrome Rookie Autographs Orange Refactor card (/25), which sold for $533,140 (graded BGS 10).
