2023 Topps Chrome Update Series hobby box pre-orders have sold out on the Topps website, but collectors will have the chance to buy hobby boxes, which potentially include Rookie Debut Patch Auto cards, after the full release.
While we haven’t seen the official card design yet, Topps have released information on the 91-name checklist for the MLB Debut RPAs, as well as hobby pack and hobby box odds of pulling one.

What Are Topps MLB Rookie Debut Patch Autographs?
Back in March of this year, Fanatics (Topps) announced that the first ever Major League Baseball Debut Patches cards would be coming to a Topps baseball card set in the near future.
A partnership between Fanatics and MLB Players Inc. has meant that all players who have made their MLB debut this season have worn a special Debut Patch on their jersey, which has then been placed directly onto their Rookie Debut Patch Autograph card – The cards also include an on-card signature.
Made for the moment. Starting #OpeningDay, every player making their Major League debut will wear an “MLB Debut” patch on their uniform for their first game! That patch will then be added to @Topps trading cards, creating the ultimate rookie card. pic.twitter.com/Acs5dxZWRD

It’s now confirmed that these Debut RPA cards will be released as part of the upcoming Topps Chrome Update Series release; Topps have described them as “the ultimate 1-of-1 rookie autograph card”, and it’s hard to disagree.
