Topps Announce Redemptions With Free Card Grading For Their New Rookie Debut Patch Autograph Cards

The long-awaited Rookie Debut Patch Autograph cards have landed in the 2023 Topps Chrome Baseball Update Series release; 91 players have a 1/1 RDPA card for baseball card collectors to chase.

Topps have confirmed that most of the Rookie Debut Patch Autograph cards are being held by Topps themselves, and not inserted into actual packs.

Instead, collectors who are lucky enough will find a type of redemption card in packs, which can be used to claim their one-of-one RDPA card via the Topps website.

Topps have declared that the main reason behind holding the cards is to ensure they are “handled with the proper care they deserve”.

Additionally, collectors who claim their RDPA cards before June 30, 2024, have the option of free grading services from SGC, BGS or CGC – Topps will ship the cards directly to the chosen grading partner before it arrives with the owner, already graded.

Collectors can also opt to receive their ungraded card directly.

This redemption concept applies to most versions of the release, apart from Breaker’s Delight boxes, which are reinforced with plastic to help prevent damage to the cards, and include the Debut Patch Autos directly inserted.

These Rookie Debut Patch Autograph redemptions never expire.
